John Henry Reed 1876-1947

John Henry is my grandfather. My mothers father.
His grandparents Agnus and James(my great great grandparents), on his father William's side, are of particular interest to our family.
James Reed was in fact French and Reed was an assumed name.
He was born in London to French parents who were later killed in the French revolution but he spent his young life in France.
Later research showed he was christened as Maurice-Phillip de Montboisier Beaufort de Canillac. (What a mouthfull!)

John Henrys grandmother (Jame's wife) was known as Agnus. (Real name Kahumahinga) This is the Maori connection on this side of the family. Her parents, Te Pukere (Father) and Paretona (Mother) have some serious maori lineage and rather than me go on about something I am trying to learn you can get it all first hand from the link below.
Note that in the list under Te Kahumahinga and James Reed, William is John Henry's father. Enjoy (Woops seems like the Maori history on this link is limited. I will post a seperate note on Te Kahumahinga)
