Nelson has been an annual pilgrimage for Rob and I for many years. We have never lost the enjoyment of the area. Fantastic outdoors, great cafes, not much agro and just all round a friendly place.
But you have to get out and explore.
Here is the first of several posts on Nelson and about. Picture 1 is looking north east from the Port hills to the Glenn (Tui Glenn, the distant headland on the left). Our family lived there when I was young.
Picture 2, 3 and 4 are the Mapua wharf area on the way to Takaka. Picture 5 is from the Takaka hill looking east to Nelson.
