Q1 Worlds Tallest Residential Building

Surfers Paradise Q1 building. At 322.5 m (1,058 ft) and with a roof height of 275 m (902 ft), Q1 qualifies as the world's tallest all-residential building when measured to the top of its structural point (spire), but is the world's second tallest behind Melbourne's Eureka Tower (roof height of 297.3 metres, 975 ft) when measured to its roof height and highest inhabitable floor. However, according to the ranking system developed by the US-based Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, the main criterion by which heights are ranked is the height of the top of the spire, qualifying Q1 as the taller.

More Outback Australia

Graham Whitt sent these cool shots from their recent safari and made these comments:
The roadside wildflowers was typical of roadsides in the outback – they seem to like disturbed ground.
The waterhole was were we camped on a cattle station near Lake Eyre for 4 days
(after being rained in – all outback roads are closed very quickly after rain).
The emus on a dry lake are at Lake Frome, which is similar to Lake Eyre – they were about
1km away, wandering around on the salt lake bed.

Grace

Oh Joy! More Rain, Wind and Freezing Weather.

A massive storm the size of Australia is thrashing New Zealand with no relief
expected over coming days from strong winds, rain and bitter cold.

The wild conditions prompted the NZ MetService to issue severe weather
warnings for all parts of New Zealand's North and the South Islands until the
storm passes over early next week
