Classic Kiwi Brand

This ad from the 1920's. The Oak brand was founded by Thompson and Hills in Auckland in 1897 and is now part of the Watties stable.

I remember Oak as being one of the brands we had in the cupboard as kids.

Locals will know that it is very unusual to see one of our harbour tugs out the entrance and away out to sea. Also to see the pilot boat randomly away from its normal path.
But these pics taken on a stormy day in Tauranga recently shows it does happen. Why?
