Wellington Cathedral of St Paul

Built in three stages and of reinforced concrete this interesting building was designed with earthquakes in mind. The foundation stone was laid by a young Queen Elizabeth in 1954 and the first stage was opened in 1964.
It needs a damn good paint job!

A stunning tapestry hangs behind the altar. The pastel colours are unusual and not what you expect in a Cathedral, different.
