Cenotaph Mt Maunganui
A very large crowd attended. A beautiful morning. As usual I had to choke back my emotions as I thought about my dad. 3 years overseas in WW2 in the NZ Army in Italy and North Africa and his return home in fairly poor shape after all that time away. Meanwhile my mum was in the W.A.A.C serving in New Zealand defense force.
