Old Tauranga Store Front Uncovered

Almost 40 years after Mc Kenzies store was shut and converted into something else workman earlier this week uncovered the old frontage during refurbishment in the Red Square.

As kids we would go to this store on Friday nights to spend our shilling or just look around. Across the street was the competitor Woolworths.

The green building was the old Star Hotel where we used to spend a great deal of time and money!
